The recent CIPD 2010 report ‘Creating an Engaged Workforce’, highlighted one important strategy, namely that ‘Employee voice is a strong driver of engagement’. Interestingly they also talk about how significant the outcomes of engagement are, namely ‘Engaged employees perform better’ and ‘Engaged employees are more innovative than others’. The research looked at both public and private sectors in the economy, as well as looking at engagement levels of different groups.
